Functional & Integrative Concierge Medicine

By limiting our practice to a smaller number of patients, Dr. Reed is able to spend much more time with you to better understand your individual needs. The result is an exceptional value, peace of mind and convenience with a focus on you, our patient, not the system.

Your body is a complex network of processes. In order to stay healthy, each process must operate at its best—this means balancing your unique genetic, lifestyle and environmental makeup to keep you healthy. When your systems aren’t able to function as intended, disease or illness can develop.

Preventing Disease at its Source, Before It Starts

Functional medicine is much like a tree. Think about your symptoms (such as pre-diabetes, weight gain, high blood pressure, or an increased cancer risk) as the leaves on the tree. Further down the tree, below the trunk, are the roots. The parts that keep the tree alive and healthy. As a patient, this is where Dr. Reed will look for the deeper reasons your health could be at risk—all the way down to the genetic and cellular level.

Functional and integrative medicine combines approaches from Western medicine that you’re familiar with, i.e. “integrative” or “alternative” medical approaches. Each component focuses on preventing disease and includes:

  • Nutritional support
  • Therapeutic diets
  • Exercise
  • Natural supplementation
  • Body detoxification
  • Stress management
  • Advanced laboratory testing
  • Reversal of cognitive decline
